Obviously you've heard of the revolutionary new HTML 5 and have been following the browser wars over video formats with interest, anticipation and possibly rising horror. Did you also know that there is so much more to HTML 5 than the new video tag? Many new HTML markup tags and semantic rules, many new attributes, a whole new form validation system and much much more.

You could spend weeks googling it all - or you could spend 2 fun, exciting, hands-on workshop days learning all about it instead, while mixing with other industry professionals.

Most browsers are ready and even Internet Explorer is starting to catch up, so come and join us and learn everything you need to know to be production-ready for HTML5.

What can you expect?

Over the course of two days, we'll be looking at:

• the state of HTML 5 in today's browsers and the implication for you as a web designer and developer
• new tags and how to use them to mark up your HTML 5 pages
• best practice recommendations for semantic HTML 5 markup
• new form input types introduced in HTML 5
• new client-side form validation features in HTML 5
• the new video tag and how it impacts on your work, how to implement it, write Javascript code against it and integrate it into a production setup
• the new audio tag - what it does and how to work with it
• the new canvas tag - native graphics scripting using Javascript

In a nutshell, this course includes everything to get you up to speed and production ready using all the new-fangled HTML 5 techniques.

It's a hands-on, fun and energetic workshop and a great chance to meet other industry professionals.

Who is running the course?

The course will be run by Nils Millahn, with over 13 years of experience leading front and backend developer teams.

What else do you need to know?

The course will be held in Shoreditch in London. You'll receive a full set of course notes, lunch and refreshments to keep you going throughout and free after-course support. Please bring your laptop.

You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 1 calendar month before the course. If you cancel less than 1 month in advance, 50% of the total cost will still need to be paid. If you cancel less than 14 days in advance, 100% of the total cost will still need to be paid.

Should you need to cancel a booking, we would prefer to move you to a more suitable course instead. Please note that this is only possible if other courses have been scheduled at the time of cancellation.

In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel the training course itself, you will be informed in writing as soon as possible and will receive a full refund. In such an event we are not liable for other expenses (eg travel, accommodation) you might have incurred as a result of your booking.
